Brahea Armata

An elegant  palm tree of a medium size. It differs from the rest of the palm trees for its characteristic glaucous-blue color of its leaves, which makes it stand out from the rest of a green vegetation. Ideal as an only example or in small groups it highlights the beauty of the place where it is located.

Very resistant to cold weather and wind it vegetates perfectly in all the areas of the peninsula,  the biggest part of the coastline of Southern Europe and Atlantic…It easily thrives in all types of soil, even in  alcaline where the color of its leaves highlights even more.

It is very interesting to observe these palm trees in its natural habitat, especially in  lower California where they coexist together with Whasingtonia Filifera. However, while the latter grows at the bottom  of the ravine, bathed in moisture, Brahea fears moisture. Therefore, we can observe them in the same area but in the scree slopes and deep gorges.  It is highly recommended an excursion of 4×4 in the area of Cataviña, taking root to its natural habitat.
